Our Story

Established by Shane Curran in April 2004, the company had one van and one part-time employee working with Shane. We now employ over 125 cleaning & hygiene professionals and have a fleet of 15 vans to support our operations.

We place a high focus on delivering quality, value-added services with personal attention to our clients.  We are committed to delivering consistent measurable quality, achieved through continuous training of our cleaning professionals, implementation of our Quality Systems, and with hands-on supervision of our staff – our most valuable assets.

Our cleaning professionals are supported by a back-up team of supervisors, management and office personnel. We have a strict recruitment process to ensure we only recruit staff who possess the same attitude to quality and customer service as we do.  Following their induction training, we implement a training plan for each staff member to ensure that they are equipped with the skills required to deal with our clients cleaning requirements, in a safe and professional manner.  We conduct Garda Vetting on all our staff, who we empower to continually identify areas for improvement at our client sites and implement solutions with the assistance of our Supervisors.

Here’s our story……

 

2004 – National Support Services was born! We mainly worked at rental properties and apartment blocks in our first year of business.

2006 – Company enters office contract cleaning market

2007 – Company establishes in-house training program, which continues to evolve and is delivered to all of our staff upon their induction to the Company

2008 – Company launches window cleaning division, using the pole-fed Reach & Wash window cleaning system

2008 – Company launches self-delivered pest prevention & control service

2009 – Economic crash affects the Company to a similar degree as many businesses in Ireland. Company adjusts to the changing circumstances by reducing costs and implementing further improvements to it’s services. As a result, the company re-establishes a secure footing which will prove to be the foundation for it’s growth in the coming years.

2009 – Joins Irish Contract Cleaning Association(ICCA).

2010 – Company enters it’s first ICCA Awards, winning Best Small Cleaning Company in Ireland and Best Cleaning Professional in a Small Cleaning Company.

2012 – Company increases it’s capacity for industrial cleaning following the success of this service, by adding a third industrial cleaning van to it’s fleet.

2012 – Company retains award for Best Small Cleaning Company in Ireland at ICCA bi-annual awards.

2013 – Company makes it’s first managerial appointment, promoting Andrej Sventickij to Area Manager.

2014 – Company wins it’s first large scale office cleaning contract(>50,000 square feet), which is followed by a second large scale office cleaning contract later in 2014.

2014 – One of our best cleaning professionals(Erika Druskeviciene) wins Best Overall Cleaner in Ireland at ICCA bi-annual awards, and promoted to Supervisor in the same month! What a month for Erika(and the Company!)

2015 – Company implements a web-based work scheduling and time-entry system to drive efficiencies in it’s operations.

2015 – Company wins it’s first significant multi-site contract – 14 branches of a medical centre chain. Later in 2015 the Company won it’s first nationwide contract to provide cleaning & hygiene services at 18 offices around Ireland.

2016 – January; Company adds to it’s supervisory and administration teamto deal with significant growth in the business and increasing client & employee numbers. Appointed Office Manager and Operations Manager – 2 staff who are with us over 9 years!

2016 – February; Company moves into a new state of the art facility which includes capacity for recent increase in supervisory and administration staff. New facility includes capability for dedicated training centre.
